Resources for Giving Tuesday

December 1, 2020

#GivingTuesday, celebrated every year on the Tuesday following American Thanksgiving, is December 1, 2020. Many nonprofits that depend on generous donations during the holiday season will be giving special attention to this important fundraising day.

Now is the time to invest your time and creativity in online fundraising strategies and to be in touch with your supporters. The virtual connection with your community – and need to take donations online – will continue to be important in the future. This means becoming familiar with the necessary technology and thinking about your online messaging. We’ve collected some resources to help you plan for #GivingTuesday in 2020.

If you participated in GiveBIG this year, there’s good news. 501 Commons has expanded access to the giving platform they use for GiveBIG. Donors can now contribute to nonprofits 365 days a year.

The new year-round giving platform is called Washington Gives. GiveBIG (May 4 & 5, 2021) and #GivingTuesday (December 1, 2020) continue as statewide generosity campaigns on the Washington Gives platform.
