Announcing the Central Washington Conference for the Greater Good

All roads lead to Yakima, Washington on April 24, 2019! The Central Washington Conference for the Greater Good is where nonprofit leaders, philanthropy, and others working in the public space come together to learn, connect, and imagine new solutions to opportunities and challenges within our communities. Now in its sixth year, this Conference represents a partnership between Washington Nonprofits, the Central Washington Nonprofit Network, the Yakima Valley Community Foundation and many others.

Akaya Windwood will keynote the Conference, speaking on the topic, “People Matter.” Based in Oakland, California, she is a partner at WiseBridge, a global transformative advising, training and consultation group. She is formerly the President of Rockwood Leadership Institute, and is a partner in the Opportunity Collaboration, which convenes an international conference that brings together leads working to end poverty. She is one of Conscious Company’s 30 World Changing Women of 2018, and has been a featured speaker at the Stanford Social Innovation Institute, the Aspen Institute, and the New Zealand Philanthropy Summit conferences. She received an Ella Award from the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, and is deeply committed to working for a fair and equitable global society while infusing a sense of purpose, delight and wonder into everything we do.

The Conference will also feature workshops by local and state experts, exhibitors ready to share knowledge and resources, networking opportunities and much more.

Registration is now open. Washington Nonprofit members can pay 2018 prices through December 31, 2018. (Joining is easy.) We can’t wait to see you in Yakima in April!

The Keynote speakers were phenomenal! I loved how they related other successful nonprofits stories to us in the audience. Identifying key factors that lead to success as well as practical strategies to leave everyone with a tool belt full of great tactics to take back to their workplace. – 2018 Conference attendee
