Puget Sound

February 5, 2017

Puget Sound includes two main regions. The central Puget Sound area of Snohomish, King, Pierce, and Kitsap Counties has the largest number of nonprofits in Washington. Each of these counties has a community foundation supporting the nonprofits in their county. The second region is the south Puget Sound area of Mason, Lewis and Thurston Counties. The Community Foundation of South Puget Sound partners with Washington Nonprofits and others to ensure nonprofit learning in this region.

Many nonprofit support organizations work in King County, including 501 Commons and Wayfind. The area is supported by the Seattle Foundation.
