Hello Wonderful Supervisor

February 15, 2020

Hello [WONDERFUL SUPERVISOR],

This year we have a lot of exciting work to do. To make sure I have everything I need to succeed, I’d love to attend the upcoming state conference from Washington Nonprofits. The Washington State Nonprofit Conference is the only statewide gathering by and for nonprofit professionals. Participating in the broader nonprofit community is an important investment in my leadership path.

The 2020 Washington State Nonprofit Conference will be May 20, 2020, in Bellevue. I’m excited about participating in workshop sessions. They will lead me think deeply about what it will take to move ideas into action. There will also be cool features that will build my public speaking abilities, like Table Talks and Ignite Idea Lab. It is a unique networking opportunity where I can connect with nonprofit leaders and peers from across the state. I will return to the office with resources and contacts to share with our team. These fresh ideas will help us to imagine solutions to [ORGANIZATION]’s biggest challenges.

I’m particularly excited about [SPECIFIC SESSION, EVENT, OR TOPIC], which I think will help us [APPLY TO YOUR WORK]. Here’s video from last year’s conference that shows you a little of what it’s about!

My attendance will cost about [COST], including travel, lodging, and registration. The registration fee includes my participation in the conference as well as a continental breakfast and lunch. If I register before April 3, we save 10% with the early bird discount. [For members] And since we’re members of Washington Nonprofits, we get an additional 20% off the cost of registration.

Thanks in advance for considering my request. I’d love to chat more about this opportunity and answer any questions you might have!

Best,

[FUTURE WSNC ATTENDEE]
